- The Sales Analyst is responsible for supporting the Drug Channel team members as well as the National Sales Director in the achievement of the assigned sales objectives. This will be accomplished through the analysis and reporting of key customer POS data leading to the development of customer insights and sales initiatives that drive category growth.
- Understands and applies Customer, Consumer and Industry insights using Nielsen Nitro, Nielsen Household Panel, Spectra and other market research data to deliver category and brand growth.
- Works with Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid sales teams to analyze customer POS data and sales trends, provide post-promotional analysis, and assist in the sales forecasting process.
- Collects and analyzes customer and market data as a basis for decision making. Assists in the development of customer strategic plans.
- Supports the NSD in assigned special projects and in the preparation for monthly sales management presentations.
- Works with the Drug channel team to develop sales presentations and new item presentations designed to achieve 4 P objectives.
- Provides analysis of competitive promotion plans/activity and recommends defensive promotion strategies where applicable.
- Prepares monthly share analyses for the Big 3 Drug customers utilizing Nielsen and customer POS data,
- Provides support as needed for business reviews that incorporates the most current brand and category insights.
- Work with the NSD to ensure completeness in the sales reporting processes to include NPD/EPD trackers, Building Blocks updates, New item recaps, product distribution lists and customer promotional plans.
- 4-year college degree.
- 2+years experience and proven knowledge/understanding of Syndicated Data: Nielsen, Panel, Spectra, Brand U&As.
- Some direct Sales and/or Brand Management experience with cross functional exposure to other Business Operations
- Must demonstrate strong analytical skills, accuracy and be detail-oriented.
- Ability to independently conduct in-depth data analysis and use the data to develop strong, persuasive selling stories.
- Good understanding of consumer packaged goods industry and Customer Management Process. OTC/HBC preferred
- Strong oral and written communication, and presentation skills
- Computer proficient (Microsoft Office, Nielsen/IRI)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at once
- Good interpersonal and time management skills. Must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
