Position Overview:


The Technology Retail Sales Manager is a retail channel liaison representing a leading CPU / GPU manufacturer whose role is to visit store locations to interact with sales associates, store management and consumers. The Sales Area Manager’s goal is to increase client mindshare resulting in increased sales associate rate-of-recommendation and ensuring increased product sell-through.


The Technology Retail Sales Manager is accountable to program metrics, whose goal is increased sales, via measurable store associate trainings, consumer interactions, sales associate on-line training participation, incremental in-store displays and collateral, in-store consumer assisted sales, reporting & feedback and out-of-box proactive sales area management.


The Technology Retail Sales Manager is responsible for identifying local demographics and trends and applying appropriate strategies to maintain store motivation, enthusiasm and closing client’s product sales with the store customers.


You will be responsible for covering retail locations in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island. You will serve as a remote employee for us and can therefore reside anywhere in the NYC Metro area, assuming you have reliable transportation to travel within the areas mentioned above.


Accountabilities:



  • Travel within assigned market to visit retail stores according to a designated frequency

  • Facilitate informal and formal trainings to retail associates and store management

  • Reinforce selling and brand messages as well as product lifestyle benefits to consumers and sales associates

  • Merchandise store locations to maintain product displays and functionality

  • Conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations for consumers

  • Create added value opportunities with incremental in-store displays and collateral

  • Acts as a strategic advisor for store management to enhance retailer relationships

  • Build relationships with computer OEM and software developer’s regional representatives to partner resources and further the product message amongst retail associates, store management and consumers.

  • Create and implement quarterly promotional and special events driving sales associate participation and product sell-through motivation

  • Researches competitive information and market demographics to better deliver customer solutions; obtain market intelligence (associate, in-store, competitive, consumer) and reports actionable items

  • Collaborate amongst national peers to share success factors.

  • Engage on-line social networking tools to interact, inform, motivate and educate sales associates

  • Engage tactics to encourage sales associates to participate in on-line product trainings

Position Requirements:



  • 2-3 years retail/sales experience

  • Technology enthusiast with PC hardware knowledge is a necessity

  • Proficient with CPU and Graphic Card products and a technology enthusiast to excite and motivate

  • Outgoing personality who easily builds friendly and lasting relationships with sales associates, store management and customers

  • Ability to train and convey the hardware solution (bundling multiple technology devices and accessories)

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet

  • Ability to travel to designated Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island store locations

  • Ability to work weekends

  • Ability to maintain organized documentation, capture consumer & retailer feedback.

  • Ability to identify opportunities and create added value.

  • Strong presentation skills hosting small-to-large audiences
