We are currently seeking a Sales Trainee in our Florida market. This Sales Trainee will work the Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, and Fort Myers markets. The Sales Trainee is primarily responsible for working with the Sales Representative in selling company products, developing and securing new customers and helping solve problems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(The major task areas required of the incumbents to successfully perform in this job.)
  • Under the guidance of the Sales Representative, perform field promotional work to sell and secure new business through research and cold calling on businesses where full market potential or product line acceptance has not been established.

  • Conduct market research on competitive businesses and assist in the formulation of competitive market strategies.

  • Complete the qualifying paperwork on new customers and set appointments to meet with new customers.

  • Retain current accounts by maintaining consistent and regular follow up calls.

  • Assist in resolving customer problems in accordance with company policy.

  • Travel on company business for periodic training, and market research in remote markets.

QUALIFICATIONS:(Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.)

  • Requires education generally equivalent to successful completion of 2-year associate degree, or equivalent, with a major in business administration, economics, sales, or marketing and two years related experience; or a 4-year college degree with a major in business administration, economics, sales, or marketing.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) abilities are preferred.
  • Strong personal accountability with track record for delivering on expectations/commitments with focus, perseverance, and tenacity.

  • Requires strong customer orientation to develop and maintain customer base relationships and resolve account issues in a timely, professional and positive manner.

  • Ability to proactively communicate, influence, and engage correct stakeholders by implementing actions; excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process.

  • Clear thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages.

  • Requires ability to pursue a program of professional growth through an understanding of the sales process and the ability to execute basic sales strategies.

  • Requires knowledge of and the ability to use computer software such as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Siebel / Oracle SFA and CRM.

  • Requires knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of standard office equipment such as a computer, telephone, and PDA.

  • Willingness to travel within your specified geographic region.

  • Requires valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a motor vehicle in a safe manner while carefully observing all traffic regulations.
