Job Description
At Idea Integration, your career is defined by what you do rather than the role you are assigned when you join. We believe that everything starts with an open door. What matters is what you do once you come through the door.
The Sales Associate position is a communications position and performs various lead generation functions to increase our sales pipeline, shorten the sales cycle and increase revenue. It will allow you to capitalize on your outgoing personality, excitement and zest for success while utilizing and building your communication, research, and relationship building skills. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team.
The Sales Associate calls companies (prospects) across our territory and talks to professionals about their business needs and initiatives. They work with our Business Development staff to identify who the most appropriate decision maker is in the company (usually a director, VP or even C-Level) by speaking with multiple company representatives. They then initiate a conversation with the decision maker to gain the information required to identify alignment with Idea’s solutions services and schedule a face to face meeting with our Business Development team. There is a leveraged component of the Sales Associate compensation plan that pays for these meetings.
The Sales Associate will use the phone and email to communicate with the companies that are assigned to them into CRM. After each contact that they make with the company, they document the result of each call, update the database and type clear and concise notes. Meetings scheduled will be coordinated via Outlook.
There are also a number of indirect functions for the Sales Associate to attend and actively participate in, including but not limited to marketing events, vertical industry events, partner events, etc.
