Sales Associate - Retail

The Overland Park, KS GUITAR CENTER is currently seeking highly motivated, outgoing, career driven individuals to fill both full-time and part-time SALES ASSOCIATE positions in the: Pro Audio, Keyboards, Drums, Accessory, and Guitar departments. 

Responsibilities:

·         Proactively assist customers in the store

·         Prospect potential clients over the phone

·          Maintain store appearance through merchandising and clean up

Requirements:

·         Background in the music industry including working with or
having extensive knowledge of musical equipment

·         Experience working the phones to prospect potential clients

·         Hi tech Positions: experience in setting up and using P.A. systems, home or
professional recording systems, and/or experience using and
programming keyboard workstations

·         Classic Tech Positions: experience setting up drums, acoustic or electric or knowledge of guitars and amplification

·          Productive multitasking to ensure customer satisfaction and accurate sales transactions

·         Experience in commissioned sales or retail is a plus, but is not required

·         Desire to gain leadership skills and grow into management
