Description:

Provides exceptional customer service and actively sells to the customer while following through on store operational tasks.  Maintains good visual displays and a neat, clean, and well presented store. Represents the Vans brand in a positive way for all Vans customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides excellent customer service as outlined in the Vans SKATE training program which includes, but not limited to greeting, fitting/measuring, and assisting with meeting the customers needs and ensuring they experience the full breadth of our product lines.
• Replenishes stock levels on the sales floor as needed; organizes and maintains organization of store stockroom.
• Assists with ensuring proper sales promotional setup of store and maintenance of sales floor and stockroom to create a neat, clean and well presented store.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures, standards and practices, regulatory compliance, and company directives are being followed.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
• 0-12 months of related professional experience.
• Previous retail or service-oriented experience preferred but not required.

Skills:
• Ability to accurately and efficiently operate cash register while following cash handling procedures.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Repetitive hand motion while operating cash register or computer.
• Regularly interacts with the public in an often crowded and noisy interactive store environment.
• Standing required for entire work shift.
• Operate office equipment (i.e., computers, phone, fax and copier).
• Must work weekend and night shifts.
• Climb ladders as needed.
• Bend, lift, open, and move product up to 50 pounds as needed.
