Great opportunity to work for a growing company. They are a Utility Contractor performing line work on electric utility projects. They have the capability to take on large and complex projects, which has afforded them great success.
We are looking to fill a Business Development role with a working Sales Director. Drive sales for the company, as well as, build and maintain your own territory.
The positon we are looking to fill is a "kill two birds with one stone" scenario. We are looking for a Business Development person to cover markets in the upper midwest and western portions of the US. However, we would like to find that person who can also take over the business development process and be responsible for driving sales corporately. My client has 4 people performing business development activities, including the President. They company is now at a point where they need someone who will own the sales process for the entire company and drive sales. This will allow the President to concentrate on others areas of the business.
The projects are mostly electric power line projects. They work with large prime contractors as a specialty subcontractor. Their specialty puts them in a category by themselves. If there are large complex projects that traditional equipment cannot get to, this company comes in and saves the day.
Here are some of the things we are looking for:
*Experience and knowledge in Utility Contracting, specifically power transmission line projects. This is the high wire power lines running across the country side.
*First hand experience working for a Contractor with an understanding of how to bid projects from a contactors standpoint
*Business Development experience in Construction
*Experience calling on prime utility contractors
*Track record of success in business development
*Experience in managing other business development professionals
