Sales Engineer - Industrial Equipment
About the Job
My client is a manufacturer of large industrial equipment sold directly to OEM's in the refrigeration, power generation, chemical and Navy/Marine Industries.
You will spend the first 12-18 months on inside sales learning the products and technologies. In this role you will quote and process orders, review customer specs, identify potential new customers, conduct training sessions at customer sites and support & direct other field sales activities.
When you are ready you will be assigned a territory and will be responsible for generating new business within existing accounts as well as prospect new business.
They are looking for someone with just 2 to 5 years experience selling some type of large engineered equipment and has knowledge of fluid dynamics.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a 4 year technical degree (Mechanical Engineering is preferred)
Must also have excellent communication and computer skills - they are looking for a "go-getter" who is pro-active and is relatively conservative in their approach (my client doesn't like "flashy")
This candidate could come out of either a rep. organization, distributor or manufacturer of large engineered equipment.
Also, my client might consider an Applications Engineer or Field Engineer, who is interested in steping into a Sales Engineer role.
Prefer someone who is presently living in the Buffalo, NY area or lived in the area previously and would like to return.
