About the Job

This position sells products (flexible tanks) using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation. In addition the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning, and technical development of products and services.

• Meeting market strategies & goals for the product line.

• obtaining & coordinating data & information from the responsible plants and team members

• researching and developing lists of potential customers

• doing market research to determine customer needs & providing information to other staff

• evaluating product marketability in terms of customers’ technical & manufacturing needs

• following up on sales leads and making cold calls on potential customers

• maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets

• establishing & maintaining industry contacts that lead to sales

• working with operations & staff to establish a communication path with the customer

• developing sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products

• making presentations to users, suppliers, etc.

• maintaining up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends & government regulations

• making regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads

• establishing long-term, ongoing repeat relationships

• acting to close deals & finalize contacts

• meeting established sales quotas and revenue goals

Job Requirements:

Requires advanced computer skills, knowledge and application of multiple software packages to include word processing, spreadsheets, graphics/charts and PowerPoint presentations.

Must have prior experience in sells and working with the Federal government and commercial markets. This includes an understanding of the processes and underlying principles of business development.   Will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and responding to large complex opportunities in Federal and commercial markets. Must be able to organize resources to rapidly assess and respond to large business development opportunities. Must be able to develop and deliver proposals and convince customers to accept AGT solutions. The ability to understand and interpret basic mechanical and design applications is important. Abilities in adapting to and responding in multiple, complex and rapidly changing environments

 

Excellent verbal and outstanding written communication skills are a must.

Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.  This includes a strong ability to present to large groups and various management teams as required.  Ability to speak at the customer’s level, including at a technical level.  Self-starter with outstanding analytical, communication (written and verbal) skills.  Positively influences and motivates others to establish clear, concise and common objectives and is able to create a sense of urgency within the team. Frequently involves communication requiring interpretation and discretionary skills.

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical field and 5 years of field sales experience, or equivalent, required

·         Ability to travel at least 50% of the time

This position involves travel up to 50% to identified potential clients and participate required trade shows.  Trade shows may involve long hours on location, including extensive travel and long work days.
