KAM CONTROLS is a small Research, Development and Manufacturing company serving the petroleum industry since 1983.  KAM has earned great reputation in the industry with quality instrumentation and simple solutions to customer needs.  KAM is looking to add the Sales arm into our organization by hiring a group of Sales Engineers.


Job Overview
Looking for an individual(s) able to combine technical knowledge with sales skills.  The emphasis of the work will vary depending on the level of knowledge of instrumentation and / or measurement in the oil industry.  KAM CONTROLS is a solution driven organization that provides instruments and services to respond effectively to Customers’ needs.

Customers are usually Engineers in the petroleum industry with background in maintenance, automation, measurement, quality control, instrumentation, etc.

This individual will serve as a liaison between the customer and other members of the Sales Team and colleagues from departments, such as research, development, design, production, and quality, as well as senior company managers.


Salary
Industry Average (based on experience) plus Commissions


Essential Job Duties
o    Maintain and achieve sales quota on a monthly basis
•    Analyze costs and sales
•    Prepare reports for management
o    Develop and grow long-term relationships with customers
•    Manage the day-to-day operations of each partnership serving as a proactive liaison and champion to promote partnerships internally and with the customer’s management and field technicians to drive focused revenue generating programs in the field
o    Present to customers or potential customers the KAM CONTROLS product line
•    Search for new customers who might benefit from KAM instruments or services and maximize customer potential in designated regions
•    Identify and educate customers about the KAM instruments or services that best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery
•    Offer after-sales support services
o    Manage and interpret customer requirements - speaking with customers to understand, anticipate, and meet their needs
•    Act as liaison with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
o    Document and maintain client contact data; Manage customers in assigned area
o    Make technical presentations and demonstrate how instruments meets client needs
o    Provide pre-sales technical assistance and training
o    Perform product demos/repairs as necessary
o    Support marketing efforts by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events
o    Provide training and produce support material for other members of the sales team


Prerequisites for the job

o    3 to 5 years of Sales experience (benefits/solutions)

o    3 to 5 years of previous experience in the Petroleum Industry is a MUST

o    Engineering degree (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) a plus but not necessary

o    Flow (fluids) experience a plus but not necessary

o    Strong and effective communication skills (oral and written)
o    Technical knowledge of KAM's product line
o    Computer skills, MS Office knowledge
o    Time management, self motivated with limited supervision
o    Willingness to travel 80% of the time. Territory TBD
