The Sales Executive is responsible for sourcing prospective clients, making intial contacts and for appropriately profiling the services provided by the clinical laboratory which enhances business growth through the sales of these services. This position plans, strategizes and assists in the development goals and sales tactics. In addition to the sales component of this work, it is also responsible for maintain and develop relationships with assigned clients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Contacts prospects, secures appointments, develops relationships with them to understand their business operations and needs as well as to assess their current solutions to profile the laboratory services and how the Laboratory will meet their needs. Proposes and negotiates contracts.
Develops and maintains on-going relationships with new clients. Follows up with them to ensure optimal service levels, educates clients on new services, and products to enhance account productivity and facilitate the new services for the client.
Plans sales strategies, tactics, quarterly and annual goals with the Reg VP and Sales Manager. Researches regulations, industry and competitor statistics, services, obtains knowledge, develops reports on clients, competitors, business trends, sales activity, etc. to aid new client business development efforts. Maintains all records.
Responsible for coordinating tours, conversations, product review, etc, with laboratory leadership, caregivers and departments to meet the needs of potential client’s in the process which enhances product sales.
Represents the laboratory by attending and speaking at conventions, seminars, exhibits and client visits. Attends sales meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or Life Sciences preferred.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum of three years experience in sales or related discipline. Prefer. Clinical Lab Experience.
Computer experience with standard software programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Windows, etc.
Working knowledge of standard office equipment such as facsimiles, photo copiers, multi-line phones, etc.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid drivers license.
OTHER SKILLS:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and customer service skills
