The Sales Executive’s primary responsibility is to create and to develop ongoing business relationships via the selling of our business continuity and disaster recovery solutions. This person is responsible for identifying leads and moving prospect interest through to closure. This includes prospect education, proposal development, attending industry specific events, negotiation and closing the deal. The Sales Executive works closely with our Marketing, Inside Sales, and the Technical Sales Support Team, as well as, regional business partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Assist the VP of Sales & Marketing and Business Partners with both pre/post sales support, and coordination of engineering support for all business continuity and recovery business units.
· Represent and generate leads for IT-Lifeline at trade association shows to promote IT-Lifeline products and solutions.
· Work directly with regional partners to discuss product and solution issues and coordinate with technical support team.
Required Skills:
· 5+ year’s sales experience required within the datacenter industry, preferably the disaster recovery and business continuity industry.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong familiarity with datacenter related technologies to include high availability, data recovery, storage management, telecommunications, and business recovery centers.
· Enterprise applications familiarity is strongly desired (i.e. Data Domain, Tivoli Storage Manager, VM Ware, or equivalent).
· Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and business partners.
· Ability to communicate with people verbally and in writing.
· Ability to perform effectively remotely in a fast paced environment with short timelines.
Desired Skills:
· Active listening skills.
· Ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and determine buying process.
· Ability to be assertive and persuasive without being aggressive.
· Familiar with the Miller Heiman conceptual selling concepts.
· Experience working remotely with a proven track record of staying self motivated.
