Position Description:
SunGard AvantGard helps corporations provide a holistic view of the Receivables, Treasury and Payments functions which help these corporations mitigate risk and optimize liquidity. As the service leader in Treasury Workstations, Receivable Management and Payment Processing, we are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to manage new business opportunities for a large enterprise segment (1+ billion dollars in revenue) in a defined geographic region (WI, IN, MN, IA, AR).

• Developing new business opportunities that result in meeting and exceeding annual quota targets through sales to new customers and expanding options to existing accounts

• Establishing, building, and maintaining relationships at all decision levels; identifying prospect needs at each of those levels and when appropriate

• Manage the building of a pipeline within the territory in order to initiate and then expand SunGard penetration amongst the prospective customers

• Manage the cultivation, execution and delivery of high-end sales and services to prospective customers in an assigned territory

• Manage the communication and internal coordination of SunGard resources. i.e. pre-sales, implementation, support etc.

• Responsible for the development, execution and delivery of quality solution focused client presentations

• Management of the ongoing initiative of identifying business, industry and customer buying intelligence

• Manage the ongoing need to understand inter-related technologies that exist in the environment we sell into and keep current on new technology and opportunities as the business and technologies expand



Position Requirements:
• Minimum of 3+ years of software sales experience
• Prior experience selling enterprise deals to executive-level positions
• Knowledge in financial or treasury market is a plus
• Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of the target market with strong contacts and references within the territory highly preferred
• Team player with a demonstrable ability to build and maintain both internal and external relationships
• Bachelor’s degree in business or similar
• Minimum 50% travel required
