Sales Leader, Adsorbents & Aluminas within UOP's Catalyst, Specialties and Adsorbents (CA&S) Business Unit to be located in the Oklahoma or Northern Texas area.
This position is suitable for candidates interested in pursuing a career in professional technical sales. As a member of UOP's Catalyst, Specialties and Adsorbents (CA&S) business unit the position currently available involves selling UOP's full range of adsorbents and aluminas into America's Ethylene, Air Separations & Natural Gas markets. In this position, the Account Manager will be assigned a portfolio of customers and will be accountable for managing customer relationships, in collaboration with UOP's other sales and service roles, e.g. licensing, engineering and regional services, and delivering budgeted revenues and margin.
Position Responsibilities: - Deliver budgeted revenue and gross margin.
- Manage customer relationships and coverage by sharing information and developing account plans with other functions in CA&S where appropriate.
- Forecast product demand and revenue from assigned accounts 18 months into the future.
- Lead opportunities through the entire sales cycle: Identify opportunity, clarify bid, develop sales strategy, enroll and aligning sales support, submit proposal, close the deal, work with the Customer Sales Representative, production planning and service to make, deliver and service the product.
- Provide adsorption designs, technical consultation and troubleshooting to customers.
- Support Business and Technology functions by providing market and competitor intelligence.
- Report & help to resolve customer complaints.
- Ability to sell into a competitive market place and achieve premium prices by communicating the value delivered by UOP products and service to their business.
- Knowledge of the application of adsorbents in aluminas in ethylene, natural gas and air separation processing applications.
Basic Candidate Qualifications:
- BS degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry is required.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the Petrochemical, Natural Gas or Refining industry is required.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a direct technical sales role.
- Ability & willingness to travel approximately 35% domestically per year.
- US work authorization.

- Demonstrated ability to sell into a competitive market place and achieve premium prices by communicating the value achieved by the customer using UOP products and services.
- Knowledge of the application of adsorbents and alumins in natural gas and air separation processes in the Americas is required.
