Sales Manager - DDC and Security Systems

About the Job

Terrific opportunity for experienced Commercial Building Controls Sales Leader with proven track record of success.  Selected candidate will join a successful team that has grown rapidly in the DC-MD market over the past few years. The sales leader will be responsible for helping to drive the continued growth throughout the district.  Management responsibilities will initially include 4-5 direct reports. Experience in Federal Government Sales or Sales Management experience a plus.


 


The candidate selected to fill this growth position will manage sales growth in both the temperature controls/building automation and the electronic security businesses.  Experience with either DDC controls or access control and CCTV installed systems a must.


 


Duties:
* Accomplishes sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in region; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

* Achieves sales operational objectives by contributing sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; implementing change as needed.

* Meets branch sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

* Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for the branch in support of national objectives.

* Maintains and expands customer base by counseling sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities; helping to close sales opportunities.


 


Basic Qualifications:


 


Minimum Bachelors degree or 6+ years of sales management within the contracting / Building Solutions construction market. 


Minimum of 5 years of working experience in field sales management.



Additional Qualifications:


Proven track record as a sales leader/manager driving the sales process.


Experience building successful sales teams.


Strong HVAC, Building Automation or Commercial Security Systems experience.


Understanding and familiarity with commercial building services market.


Demonstrated ability to close sales opportunities. 


Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to customer sites throughout the DC-MD area.
