Sales Management Administrator
Objective:
Provide analytical, technical and administrative support for Educational Sales in order to assist with the successful management of the sales function. Serve as a resource regarding the mechanics of processing a sale, generating reports and analyzing sales data. Function as a contributing member of the Sales Team through effective communication and assisting others as needed. Perform all duties of the job with a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, proactiveness and professionalism.
Qualifications:
Required:
· Two years experience in a busy office environment
· Excellent organizational skills
· A high level of attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
· Excellent analytical skills --Proven ability to quickly learn new software at an advanced level and create reports in order to help analyze information
· Strong interpersonal skills in order to assist with sales training and communication within the department and the company
· Ability to process paperwork, type and work effectively in an office environment.
· Strong verbal communication skills, both in person and over the phone
· Ability to visually proof documents
· High School Degree or equivalent. Four year bachelor degree is preferred.
Essential Functions:
1. Assist the SVP of Sales and Sales Directors as requested
2. Act as a resource for sales staff, as well as to other departments and customers (Account Managers, Program Leaders etc)
3. Assist with sales database management, providing data and reports to assist directors in managing sales, including but not limited to:
i. Current years’ revenue report every Friday
ii. Past years’ revenue report every Friday for 6 months; EOW for 6 months
iii. Team revenue report every Monday for current and past year
iv. Data analysis report every Tuesday morning
1. Sales by Segment
2. Territory Performance Report
4. Administrative support of sales contests
5. Administer the Back-to-Sales process and account distribution
6. Database management for assigned leads
7. Changing deadline dates in STOMP, our sales system
8. Assigning & unassigning schools in STOMP as instructed by Directors
9. Manage sales contest data
10. Sales meeting logistics: Scheduling meetings, booking conference rooms, arranging meeting meals
11. Take notes at weekly sales meeting
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Some internet research and adding new schools to database as needed.
2. Adding schools to Trip Desk as needed.
i. New Sales
ii. Sales for Special Events
3. Researching duplicate schools and block as necessary
i. Verify through email or phone call
ii. Notation in STOMP, our sales system
4. Annual review of active accounts (typically in the late spring)
i. Review in STOMP
ii. Email Account Managers for information
iii. Note in STOMP
5. Additional duties may be assigned.
Standard Department Member Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate and/or perform training of staff members as requested. Update a training manual covering all functions of area of expertise.
2. Foster communication within the department, with other departments and with management.
3. Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures so as to serve as an effective staff member.
4. Support company policies and management decisions with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
5. Seek out and participate in internal and external programs that facilitate personal and professional growth.
6. Track days off; write and deliver self-performance appraisal to the SVP of Sales on an annual basis.
7. Identify and discuss personal and professional growth goals with the SVP of Sales.
