| Description: Commodity & specialty chemical company is looking to fill a critical Sales Manager position in the Chattanooga, TN area. This is an excellent income and career growth opportunity. The company is well established and has a long track record of success. The products are raw material chemicals, and the markets are typically in industrial manufacturing. There is minimal overnight travel. Some relocation assistance is offered. | | Responsibilities: Manage a team of experienced sales professionals in the chemical industry. Lead, direct, and support the efforts of the team. Establish the sales strategy for the region. Work closely with all internal support groups. Take the sales for the region to a higher level. Grow the existing base of business while always seeking out new opportunities. Manage the overall gross profit for the region. Oversee pricing and business selection. Hire, train, etc. Lead by example. Travel overnight as needed. | | Requirements: 5 plus years of chemical industry sales experience, with at least 2 of these years in sales management. Experience leading and directing a team. Track record of past sales & management success. High level of self motivation and self direction. Strong prospecting and closing skills. Local market knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills. A college degree. Willingness to travel overnight if needed. | | Desired: 3 plus years of sales management experience in the chemical industry. | | Company Information: Commodity & specialty raw material chemical company. | | Compensation: Base salary: $80,000 - $85,000.
