We are seeking a Sales Manager to join our Sales team in one of the following locations: Jacksonville, Orlando, or Miami, FL; Charlotte, NC; or Birmingham, AL.
Primary sales functions of the Sales Manager to include:
- Primary account activities include AT&T Account Management and Sales initiatives in the AT&T Southeast region. Secondary account activities and responsibilities include working with various AT&T Verticals within the Southeast region. AT&T verticals to include Signature, Premier, Healthcare, Gov/Education and Select.
- Sales initiatives to AT&T - Network (both IOF, local loop). Emphasis on Network Planning organization, Engineering & Construction organization, and those that control budgets & plan/design networks within the SE.
- Sales initiatives to AT&T - Sales account teams within the Southeast region and as needed elsewhere within North America. Focus and serve the AT&T Retail and Wholesale sales teams including but not limited to Signature, Premier, Healthcare, Gov/Education, Select, Wireless and ISP teams.
- Defend and Grow the AT&T Southeast account with emphasis on application selling, new technology introduction and creative optical solutions. Will manage customer with leading edge solutions using the FW 4100, 4500, and 7500 platforms. Core/Interoffce and central office applications are a major piece of the account.
- Software tools used include Salesforce customer relations database, excel, powerpoint, and word. Additional software sales tools for AT&T Account Management include NETSMART 2000 and Ring Builder.
- This position may require travel up to 50% of the time in the SE region as well as other AT&T locations.
Requirements:
- BS or BA with field of study in Engineering or Communications Program.
- Additional courses: Cisco certifications, additonal DWDM or data communications/networks competency very beneficial.
- Prefer 8 yrs or more of sales/account management experience.
- Candidate must have very good written and oral communication skills. Presentation giving and sales negotiations and a technical understanding of communicaiton networks are a must. Strong familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., excel, word, PP).
- Prefer 8 years or more experience in Telecommunications, with emphasis on sales/account management.
- Prefer sales/account management experience serving either AT&T/SBC/BellSouth or other Carrier (e.g., Verizon, Qwest, MSO).
- Sales experience with other optical/data telecom manufactures (e.g., cisco, Tellabs, Alcatel-Lucent) beneficial.
- Familiarity with Optical, SONET, DWDM, Packet, Ethernet
