Sales Manager - Winston Salem Area, NC

About the Job

Topsider Homes, designer and prefabricator of distinctive high-end, custom post & beam homes, sold and shipped worldwide since 1968, is seeking a Sales Manager [for consumer sales].  This is a selling-manager position.  No travel required, real estate-type hours, including some evenings and Saturdays. This is not modular, mobile home or tract home sales. 


 

EDUCATION:  Bachelors degree [min.], preferably with a major in marketing or other business field.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of ten years hands-on ‘big ticket’ consumer sales and sales management experience, including recruiting, training, managing and motivating a “high dollar” consumer-oriented sales force.  Must have experience in new home or similar sales, e.g., real estate, resort homes sales, architectural design, etc.  Will consider an otherwise qualified candidate with a “high dollar” relationship selling background, e.g. luxury items, yachts, upscale furnishings, securities, etc.  No candidates will be considered without some basic and general knowledge of construction.

 

MISC. QUALIFICATIONS:  Candidates must have a proven sales track record, strong closing skills and be comfortable working with clients by phone and in person.  Excellent written skills, computer and Internet literacy are specific requirements, as a great deal of client contact is electronic.  Candidates must be well-traveled in order to "connect" with our buyers from diverse geographic areas.

 

COMPENSATION:  Mid five-figure range salary, with incentives - six-figure income anticipated.

 

BENEFITS:  PPO health plan including dental, paid holidays, vacation policy, etc.


RELOCATION:  No.
