SALES MANAGER
Office Products Background
First Year Income: $150,000
Do you have at least 5 years of managing a sales team that reported directly to you?
Can you hire, train and motivate an outside sales team that is of a "hunter" mentality?
Do you have experience in document imaging, laser printers, mfp's or digital printers?
Are you available to start ASAP?
If you answered "yes" to all of the above, our client, an international manufacturer, wants to see you this week.
They are expanding - yes expanding - their sales organization to cover the Washington metropolitan area and need a Sales Manager to grow a sales team. You will be required to hire and train a sales team of 6, soon to expand to 10, covering commercial businesses in Virginia, Maryland and DC, out of your office.
You will need to demonstrate success in building a sales organization elsewhere that consisted of "hunter" types, and not just "account managers."
You will train them on techniques for calling on "C" level executives, demonstrating and closing deals, along with developing cost justification proposals.
Your background should include substantial experience in the areas of hiring, sales training, monitoring and field coaching individual sales reps.
Due to the nature of today's digital environment, you must possess a good understanding of technology, including connectivity and software issues surrounding document imaging production.
Your compensation will include a base salary of $70,000, plus monthly guarantees while you are building the sales organization. Your budget will be ramped based upon manpower development, and targeted in the $150,000 range the first year.
This is a Sales Management position for a "Field General", not an "Armchair" general, and will require good time management skills to get the job done. If this sound like you, and your style of management, please email a resume that shows what you have accomplished in building a "hunter" sales organization in the office copier/printer/mfp marketplace.
Please do not be hesitant to submit your resume for fear that your current employer will find out. This is a highly confidential search, and non other than the Principal of our company will be conducting the initial screening. All resumes will be handled on a Strict Confidentiality basis.
