Automotive Sales Manager

Smicklas Chevrolet has an immediate opening for a Sales Manager to join our winning team.  Smicklas is part of Group 1 Automotive, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, and a leader in the automotive retailing industry.  Our dealership will relocate to new state-of-the-art facilities on N.W. Expressway resulting in increased traffic and expanded sales opportunities.

Our Sales Manager will develop and lead a team of sales professionals taking them to the highest levels of achievement!  The Sales Manager is responsible for the following:

• 
  
  Meet monthly forecast for sales volume and sufficient gross to meet profit objectives
  
  
• 
  
  Establish a positive relationship with customers
  
  
• 
  
  Recruit, hire and develop a retail sales force
  
  
• 
  
  Work with the management team to maintain a balanced inventory
  
  
• 
  
  Work with the General Manager to forecast monthly sales and expenses
  
  
• 
  
  Enthusiastically assist sales people in customer interactions
  
  
• 
  
  Enhance customer satisfaction during the entire purchase experience

Our ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter, results driven, and a proven leader in an import auto dealership.  The position requires superior communication skills to build relationships with customers and team members.  Prior General Motors automotive  management experience is preferred.
