Bureau Veritas is a global provider of consulting and laboratory services over a broad range of industries. The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Laboratory Division operates globally from three analytical laboratories in North America with annual revenues of $18 million and 100 staff.
Position is responsible for providing the expertise and leadership for marketing and sales functions including responsibility for planning marketing strategy, developing a functional sales system allowing monitoring and evaluating the selling process, creating an integrated marketing communications program, tracking new trends and ideas, and the oversight/supervision of the sales and marketing staff. Responsibilities encompass directing the sales and marketing activities including identifying sales channels, product packaging, pricing oversight, and promotion of laboratory services related to marketing and sales planning, strategy, and new product development. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Director of HSE Laboratory Division and is considered an integral part of the Division management team.
The position is based in Novi, Michigan (a northwest suburb of Detroit).
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of sales and marketing activities and implementation
-Ability to communicate strategy and plans within a senior-level management team
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Thorough knowledge of common software tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, and client-relational databases similar to ACT and Goldmine.
At least 10 years of direct involvement with sales and marketing functions associated with analytical chemistry laboratory or professional service companies. At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in developing sales and marketing strategy and implementation.
