BASIC PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

 

The Sales Operations Manger will play an extremely important role in building and managing a world-class sales operations organization in support of our direct and indirect sales channels.  This individual will be responsible for managing:

·         Centralized quoting and approval management process

·         Sales proposals

·         Contract management

·         Customer, contact and product data quality

·         Business analytics and reporting

·         Sales force communication management

·         Customer Relationship Management (CRM) adoption, compliance and process design

This position will interact extensively at both a senior management and individual contributor level with cross-functional teams including sales, finance, legal, customer support, and engineering.

 

OVERALL OUTPUTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Works effectively in a fast-paced sales  and rapidly evolving corporate environment

·         Understands and embraces change

·         Designs policies, process, strategy and approach for sales operations

o   Takes responsibility and manages sales operations on a day-to-day basis

o   “Working” manager position; hands-on required

·         Develops and maintains weekly and monthly operational reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

·         Understands and can enforce enterprise data quality

·         Develop, monitor, and continuously suggest process improvements

·         Understanding of various components of legal documents and contracts

o   Ability to create amendments and minor contract changes

·         Customer (internal) service & support oriented

·         Strong work ethic, ability put in the extra hours during peak times (especially end of quarters)

·         Manage and build operations team with strong business analytics and process management capabilities

·         Manages interpersonal and cross-functional coordination between work teams, recognizes those instances when coordination is required and initiates cooperative actions to ensure departmental effectiveness

 

 

 

 



Job Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Four-year degree, masters preferred
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years in operations management
  • Experience managing and building a team
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years CRM experience
  • Expertise in working with cross-functional teams (especially sales, finance, legal, customer support and engineering)
  • Proven experience in building internal processes with checks-and-balances
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers at a senior management and technical level. 

SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Excellent organizational and workflow skills; ability to work on simultaneous projects
  • Exceptional communications skills, especially with cross-functional work groups
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
    • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Process-oriented, metrics-based “system” thinker
  • Experience working on six sigma, lean processing projects (preferred)
  • Software industry experience (preferred)
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable
  • Limited travel is required,  up to 10%

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours can vary and expand as dictated by departmental demands.
