A leading supplier of innovative research technology is the Drug Discovery market is expanding and needs a Sales Professional in Indianapolis or Cincinnati.  This specialized manufacturer of tools for Molecular Biology and Genomic research has enjoyed double-digit annual revenue growth for the past several years.  If you are dying to get off the bench and into the commercial side of the business, this is just the opportunity for you.

 

Responsibilities:

 

In this high-profile territory you will call on senior level scientists selling a line of detection, liquid handling, and robotics instrumentation for genetic discovery, regulation and function.  Targeted accounts will include the academic research labs and biopharmaceutical companies who are active in Drug Discovery, Genomic and Proteomic research. 

 

The nature of the work will be a mix of appointment-based sales calls on established customers and developing new accounts through prospecting.  This high-profile territory has consistently performed at a very high level.  Overnight travel in this role is about 15-40%, since the territory encompasses Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio

 

Qualifications:

 

The winning candidate will have a background that includes:

  • Sale experience is NOT a requirement for this position
  • Some sales experience in a highly technical role in the LSR field is preferable
  • A Scientist/Lab Manager with at least a B.S. with an aptitude for sales is ideal
  • Extensive experience with running assays on Microplate Readers Required
  • Customer centric, self starter, with a track record for success
