Before The Stores manages the sale of direct-response (As Seen on TV) products on eBay, Amazon, & other online sales channels for the companies who create those products. Since inception in 2008 our sales have exploded from zero, to millions. This rapid growth has been fueled by focus on 2 things:
1) Obtaining & managing new clients
2) Optimizing our online sales methods
This job requires you to do both those things, better. We’re looking for someone with an unrivaled ability to sell, and passion for online sales & marketing. You will be in startup team of 3-4 people with the purpose of obtaining & managing new clients for our online direct-sales management program. The job is an energized, fast paced position that requires a person who is organized, confident in selling over the phone & in person, and brings new ideas to the table every day. Most of all, we are looking for someone who has the ambition & drive to grow a business from the ground up.
Major Responsibilities:
• Generate new business:
a) Obtain new clients through sales & marketing materials, networking, calling & meeting prospects, etc. (some travel required)
b) Maximize online sales through marketing & developing new opportunities
c) Create ideas for sales materials (brochures, booklets, flyers, newsletters, etc.)
d) Price negotiation
• Manage your clients:
a) Keep in contact about current campaigns, upcoming products, etc.
b) Sell your clients’ goods on Amazon.com, eBay.com, beforethestores.com, & more
c) Develop long-term relationships
• Grow online sales:
a) Maximize e-commerce sales of our current clients’ items, as well as items of new clients gained
b) Use of various online selling techniques to increase sales on Amazon, eBay, and our website
• Customer Service
a) Process transactions and track shipping & delivery of products
b) Provide online customer service
c) Maintain ongoing relationship with past customers
Requirements:
• Ability to be an aggressive salesperson and close deals. Must be comfortable selling to new clients.
• Excellent oral and written communication/sales skills
• Great attitude plus excitement & interest in the project
• Ability to handle the pressure and fluidity of a start-up environment
• Ability to consistently develop & implement new ideas
• Basic computer skills - including MS Office and basic image editing
Bonus Points:
• Awareness of trends in Internet usage & e-commerce
• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and financial accounting
• Good organization skills
• 2+ years actual selling experience of a new product/service
Compensation:
************Base Salary plus Commission. Starting total compensation will be around $30-$35K. This is with our current business of only 2 clients. We are close to closing 2 more, and there are about 40 more to go after, which will be the purpose of your position. There is great opportunity to increase your own commission.************
