EMC Publishing, LLC, a leading educational publisher of textbooks and technology for World Language, Literature, High School Social Studies, and Business textbooks and software for the K-12  markets, is seeking a Sales Representative for our Louisiana/Arkansas/Mississippi territory.

  Requirements for this position include:

•  Effectively present and sell all EMC products, including software and online applications,  to the secondary school market
•   In-depth knowledge of new and existing EMC products
•  Demonstrate an aptitude in the areas of Microsoft ®technology, multi- media applications, and the internet;
•  Communicate regularly with the District, Regional, and/or National Manager in regards to territory sales opportunities, sales pipeline, closed sales, and customer/market trends. 
• Create, generate, maintain, and utilize customer lists, databases, and regional and local information for the  development of a current and ongoing territory market and sales plan
•  Extensive travel, daily and overnight, within the sales territory to call on customers and attend conferences. 
•  Ability to qualify leads to ensure effective time, materials, and budget management. 
• Develop, maintain, and effectively utilize customer lists and databases as well as review, interpret, and evaluate customer information and sales data to develop and follow a data-driven territory management plan.
• Must reside within the described sales territory.

The ideal candidate must have prior teaching experience in at least one of the content areas of Computer Science, Language Arts and/or World Languages  and/or a minimum of five years of proven and successful sales experience.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required.  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and excellent presentation skills are required. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, with the ability to plan own activities to achieve sales goals, with excellent time management and relationship management skills.  To be eligible for this position, you must possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.  Candidates must be able to repeatedly lift at least 50 lbs (product includes textbooks).  Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.computer skills are required and candidates must be able to pass a Microsoft Office competency test.
