Job Requirements:

1.     Bachelors Degree (preferred)

2.     2+ yrs. related experience (telephone sales)

3.     Must demonstrate effective sales skills (probing, qualifying, closing)

4.     Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

5.     Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

6.     Candidate must be computer literate and proficient at using a keyboard. Microsoft Office– Outlook, Excel and Word experience

7.     Must have excellent follow-up skills

8.     Business to Business sales experience preferred

Successful candidates must possess successful sales attributes and have demonstrated sales results associated with upselling, cross selling and probing for opportunities while responding to a customer inbound request.  Candidates must have the desire to become knowledgeable about our technical products and services; meet activity goals and sales objectives; and must possess exceptional communication and customer relationship skills.

Summary of position: Sells products and calibration services to business and industrial establishments and individuals over the telephone by responding to incoming calls and performing the role described below. Answers and responds to customer inquiries regarding any issue including technical and application questions; requests for calibration and/or product quotes/orders; customer service/problem solving; billing or expediting orders.  Meets activity goals and sales objectives.

Primary focus is to handle inbound sales calls, email, fax, and mail requests for product and calibration quote and order requests along with cross selling of calibration certification with every order, repair services and accessories.   Builds and maintains customer’s relationships by offering a consultative approach. Approaches every customer call as an opportunity to solve a customer problem and generate new business.Asks probing questions to understand customer needs and quotes appropriate product and calibration quotes and ordersusing strategic pricing strategies to win the business. Demonstrates ability and, proficiency to up-sell and increase average order size (dollar amount). Is resourceful in obtaining appropriate technical product support to the customer and involves applicable marketing and/or vendors to determine specifications needed for the customer’s applications. Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers and assists the moves the sales process to close. Is efficient in completing all customer follow-up in a timely manner.

Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.  Establish and maintain professional telephone etiquette at all times, incoming and outgoing.


Has above-average attention to detail; is highly organized; exhibits a sense of urgency and enthusiasm in attending to customer needs; is an excellent team player; and consistently challenges ones-self to learn, grow and improve.
