We are currently seeking a self-motivated and independent individual for our Sales Service Representative position based in Reno, NV. Our Sales Service Representative will assume sales, service and marketing responsibilities for this geographic area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing one of the largest and fastest growing home center chains in America. Key Responsibilities include:
Plan and prioritize sales activities and customer contact towards achieving agreed business aims, includes inventory and sales objectives
Manage product mix and shelf space according to agreed upon R.O.I targets
Work closely with store managers and internal business group personnel to meet product assortment goals and overall sales growth goals by store
Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities - ie. product launches, promotions, advertising and product demonstrations
Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
- Marketing, monitoring, and ordering point-of-sale merchandise and inventory
- Conduct product training and clinics for store associates and consumers
- Provide high level of customer service in responding to customer complaints
- Assist retail customers with product purchases
The customer service-oriented candidate we seek will possess 2-3 years of paint sales and/or selling experience. Additional Requirements include:
- Educational - High school diploma/GED equivalent; College Degree preferred.
- Previous paint, retail sales and/or merchandising experience is required - experience calling on 'big box' preferred
- Possess selling skills to write orders
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
- Strong management skills and the ability to motivate are a plus.
- Should have excellent people, leadership and organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong detail-orientation and follow through skills
- Basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to travel as required throughout the territory (occasional weekends and overnights)
- Ability to lift 50lbs is required
- This position may also require climbing ladders and prolonged standing in a retail store environment.
