The Sales Strategy and Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining the sales communications calendar and executing on all sales communications, ensuring that messages are consistent across channels but tailored based on each channel's target clients and sales and service model. The Communications Manager also will assist in the design and preparation of client-facing communications, including seminars and scripts, articles, brochures, collateral and newsletters, among others. 
 
This position reports to the Director of Membership but will also provide communications and project-based support across the Women & Co. organization to ensure that Women & Co. leverages efficiencies within our group and across the organization.
 
Responsibilities

 


Work with Women & Co. management committee and relationship managers to develop and coordinate the execution of internal sales strategies to support new member enrollments across the franchise including:


  • Citibank/Citigold

  • Commercial Business Group

  • Citi at Work

  • Citi Private Bank

  • Morgan Stanley Smith Barney

 

Assist in the development of sales strategies and create the communications calendar that support current business goals and objectives.  Responsibilities include:


  • Developing, managing and executing against the communications calendar

  • Oversight of writing, research and distribution of Women & Co. sales materials

  • Packaging client-facing materials for use by sales force for channel-specific publications targeted to branch personnel

  • Implement campaigns and other programs designed to drive sales

  • Analyzing and reporting on results

  • Maintaining trend analysis and providing recommendations based on results for future campaigns. 

 

Maintain all sales intranet sites and optimize strategy to drive results, including the Women & Co. sales intranet and any Women & Co. product pages that sit within other sales intranet sites.


 

Liaise with sales/marketing managers in each sales channel to identify communications opportunities, refine sales messages, identify potential campaign ideas, share success stories, etc.


 

Write, edit, produce and maintain a broad range of both internal and external content and communications in multiple formats. This includes short educational articles, client newsletters, video and audio scripts, e-mail teaser text, financial advisor prospecting and client materials, invitations to client events, talking points, and website content.


 

Establish and maintain rapport with key personnel in the business units across Citi and Women & Co, including Sales, Marketing and Membership to make sure we leverage Citi assets via Women & Co.


 

Plan and execute special projects that require cross-departmental coordination.



The Ideal Candidate:
  • Has 5-7 years of sales communications experience, preferably in the financial services industry.

  • Proven success engaging with sales, product and marketing preferably with client-side experience writing to customers about banking and/or brokerage, and have true familiarity with banking and brokerage products and operations.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to effectively manage the production aspects of communication pieces and marketing materials.

  • Has top quality writing skills and experience implementing communications programs

  • Has a solid work ethic and pays attention to details.

  • Highly flexible; comfortable working with ambiguity, frequently changing timeframes and short deadlines.

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Marketing, communications, journalism or equivalent preferred.

  • Offers innovative and effective means of communication; thrives working both independently and as a team.

  • Series 7 required; Series 24 a plus.
