Sales Support Associate

Major PurposeThis position enhances sales by supporting the sales representative with the pre-sale process in designing proposals and calculating rates, explaining benefits and procedures to agents/brokers/planholders, and submitting new business.

 

Responsible for negotiating discounts, rates, medical problems and plan exceptions with underwriting, relaying outcome to sales representatives and/or brokers.  Follows up with brokers regarding the status of quotes and provides any additional information or rates as necessary.

 

Quoting: Analyzes premium and experience figures as necessary.  Works with brokers and sales representatives to develop appropriate quote

 

Post-Sale: Processes new business which includes checking paperwork, requesting outstanding information, following-up, submission and tracking through underwriting and issue.

 

Sales Liaison/Communications: 

 Communicates to callers company products, plan variations, rates, procedures, alternate funding arrangements and underwriting requirementsfor currently marketed products.

 

This position requires a high school diploma.  Prior group insurance experience is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
