Sales Support Specialist I/II

In this role, you will be a key team member supporting our Group Retiree Account Executive sales team's efforts in the identification, development and sale of new business Group Retiree health plans. Customers include: large group Commercial (local market and ANA), public sector plan sponsors and Unions/Trust plan sponsors in an assigned market(s).

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting GRS Sales Account Executives with sales, business development and broker/consultant relationship activities.
- Team member will assist and support the GRS Sales Account Executives on requesting custom benefit plans for GRS sales opportunities, supporting submissions and completion of GRS proposals and RFP responses to brokers and groups, and maintaining various system updates for proposal and sales activity.
- Assists in the development and oversees the implementation of policies and procedures.
- Evaluates and recommends changes in procedures or methods in areas that effect the sales support team.
- Completes projects as requested by National Vice President of Sales or Sales Directors.
- Directly supports the Sales Account Executives in the acquisition of new business, in such activities as open enrollment meetings, administrative projects and support team activities for complex groups.


Requires a BA/BS; 2-3 years related sales/marketing experience (preferable in Group Retiree / Medicare products and marketplace); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Sales Support Specialist - 2 years of experience
Sales Support Specialist II - 3 years of experience

Please note: This position may be filled at either the Sales Support Specialist I or II level. Manager will determine level based upon selected applicant's background and skill set relative to the qualifications of the position.
