Argo International Corporation is the Premier Global Stocking Distributor of new units and spare parts for motors, drives, controls, pumps and compressors for the Worldwide Industrial Marketplace.  We are seeking a driven Sales Leader / Branch Manager capable of defining strategy and driving results in the Houston, Texas territory.  

Good knowledge of the Houston market and Houston customer base required.  Proven leadership skills are paramount, along with the ability to manage and motivate a sales team to maintain high activity levels, create and maintain team synergy and achieve business objectives.  The successful candidate will possess a strategic and entrepreneurial approach to growing the business; strong commitment to and ownership of the success of the branch and assigned territory; superior work ethic; and demonstrable excellence in time management, communication, decision-making, interpersonal relations, presentation, negotiation and organization skills.

The Sales Team Leader / Branch Manager is responsible for maximizing sales and profitability within the branch. To accomplish this, the successful candidate must be adept at:

·         Working with customers to maximize sales and increase market share;

·         Leading and coordinating the inside and outside sales teams to ensure world class customer service;

·         Indentifying new product, business and market opportunities within the territory;

·         Being actively involved in solicitation of strategic partners/alliances;

·         Working closely with Marketing in developing new business plans;

·         Controlling costs through consistent review of branch financial performance;

·         Working effectively across the sales and operations organizations;

·         Hiring, coaching, reviewing, rewarding, motivating, disciplining branch staff;

·         Ensuring that staff has the equipment, skills and training to perform in their roles;

·         Interacting with staff consistently in order to understand any individual needs or concerns and providing mentoring;

·         Maintaining budget and fiscal responsibility by establishing a financial plan and achieving the plan;

·         Defining customer service/sales standards and operational mission of the branch, communicating it to the branch staff, and tracking progress of activities that meet the goals of the branch/organization; and,

·         Monitoring the performance of and developing strong business relationship with vendors and other outside organizations that interact with the branch.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, along with 8+ years of experience in mechanical pump distribution sales.  5+ years of sales management experience also required, along with P&L experience at the branch level.  Management experience from a mechanical pump repair shop is a plus.
