Our ideal candidates is someone who has experience in sales and a passion for teaching others about the sales and customer relationships. Experience in sales training and program management in a dynamic sales environment and turn all those great ideas into tangible results that make a difference.


The challenge is to act as a Commercial Training Specialist in the LATAM Sales Organization within the Johnson Controls, plc Building Technologies and Solutions based in the US, It has been implementing successful proven sales programs.  It is now time to implement these programs globally and measure the results of a consistent global methods and processes.


In this role, you will be working closely with regional sales leaders and executives to set up new multi session programs for both new and existing sales representatives.  You will be responsible for developing the salesforce to be best in class in customer application and sales strategy.    You will do this by working collaboratively with colleagues, immersing yourself in this fascinating business, bringing creativity and hard work to every project you do, and being open to learning new skills and technologies every single day.

How you will do it


  • Closely partner with LATAM based teams to deliver training programs across the region

  • Manage project timelines and delivery schedules, as well as track and measure results.

  • Monitor and evaluate sessions, programs and blended learning for effectiveness.  Make necessary design changes based on business results. 

  • Design and assist with design and development of new components of programs.  New components could include new sales training modules, processes and initiatives based on business priorities. 

  • Design and manage participant resources including Share point sites, participant guides, support documents and reference materials.

  • Document and maintain a facilitator guide for the program including vendor information and application instructions including simulations. 

  • Define and manage quality assurance and metrics of the program and its elements. 

  • Incorporate new sales and product learning as appropriate that has been developed by the larger team.

  • Support the development of training with an emphasis on innovative E-learning, performance support solutions and apps that could be used globally.

  • Apply what you know about adult learning and share what you learn along the way with the rest of the team.

  • Use strong project management skills in developing outcomes that positively impacts the business.

  • Help to analyze business needs and directly link performance outcomes to the business metrics.

  • Act as an internal consultant to combine multiple perspectives into holistic solutions that maximize the impact to the business.

  • Be a driver for global standards and quality outcomes. 

  • Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues in learning and development.

  • Use your strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a wide range of SMEs and internal customers.

  • Knowledge and experience developing solutions for the 70:20:10 model would be a strong asset.



  • Technical- Proven experience in sales, sales strategy, negotiation and customer management.

  • Educated –Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Technology, Education, Business Administration or something that would complement the position.  A Master’s Degree would be fantastic!

  • Creative – Can look at a project and find alternatives.

  • Detailed – Realizes the importance of details in leading to impactful outcomes.

  • Mobile – Must have the ability to travel 20%, sporadically

  • Language – Must be fluent in Spanish and desirable Portuguese
