Position Description

Recognize,
evaluate, manage, and control chemical, biological, physical, and ergonomic
hazards. Manage chemical exposure monitoring, hearing conservation, respiratory
protection, chemical hazard communication, confined space entry, gas detection,
biohazards, lead, asbestos, mold, mercury, regulated carcinogens, toxic gases,
indoor air quality, chemical hygiene (laboratory safety), hazard control
ventilation, sanitation (food safety) inspections, nano-materials safety and
other types of industrial hygiene programs required to ensure employee safety
and health in an industrial and research environment.

Required Skills

10
years experience in industrial hygiene, including 5 yrs of safety and health
technical leadership. Management experience: coordinating and leading relevant
tasks including supervision of 5 to 10 staff. Good written and verbal
communications skills and interpersonal skills.

Certifications:
CIH (Certified IH); California Certified Asbestos Consultant; California
Department of Health Services (DHS) certified to perform all categories of lead
work.

Must be
able to pass a security background check.

Education

BA/BS in Industrial
Hygiene or related discipline (including 2 years college chemistry), or
equivalent experience.
