Fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of the radio-frequency (RF) equipment used in large-scale satellite downlink and uplink operations; such as waveguide assemblies, cables, and fiber-optic systems. Performs component-level troubleshooting required on High-Power Amplifiers (HPA), fiber-optic systems, upconverters, downconverters, RF switching units, Antenna Control Units (ACUs), Low-Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) and Low-Noise Block Downconverters (LNBs), and switching and/or monitoring audio/video equipment. Performs maintenance and repair on large transmit/receive and receive-only satellite antenna systems. Provide sketches of drawings required for equipment installation. Position is subject to shift work.This position requires system level and bench level electronics troubleshooting experience.Operational configurations awareness and routine preventative maintenance skills required. Must be able to perform shift work as a cohesive part of a team and with minimal supervision. The ability to read and interpret schematics, assemble wave guide systems, efficiently utilize sophisticated test equipment, perform documentation tasks, and successfully interact with management & engineers is a must.
