This position reports to the Principal and is located at Scranton School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children, Scranton, PA
Job Description
The School Psychologist performs intial psycho-educational intake evaluations for SSDHHC; provides written psycho-educational re-evaluations; performs psychological testing, if needed: participates in the RR Process; participates in initial Individualized Educational Program (IEP) development and in IEP yearly reviews; participates in Child Study Team meetings; observes students in the classroom; reviews cumulative records for student evaluation; designs and implements behavior plans as needed for specific children; coordinates outreach evaluations and services.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree plus additional course work and an internship in school psychology. PA Certification in School Psychology K-12 required.
Sign language skills of applicants will be rated using the Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI); “Advanced” level skills are preferred at hire.
PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances required.
Salary
Starting Salary is dependent upon degree and experience and includes Full benefits with membership in the State’s teacher retirement system, medical, dental and vision benefits, and life insurance.
