Plan, conduct, analyze, and document experiments necessary to support Point of Care Diabetes product line. Candidate will collect, analyze, summarize, and document reagent and instrument performance data associated with product/process improvements, customer complaints, and problem investigationss . Candidate will lead or participate in cross-functional teams with Global Product Support, OEM Product Managers and Marketing to provide technical results, assess their business impact, and communicate the results to the organization . The incumbent will also participate in design transfer team activities for a new urinalysis product manufacturing line.
Specific Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related sciences with at least 4-6 years experience. Master's degree desirable
* Experience with Diabetes products and clinical chemistry
* Strong chemistry background and Six Sigma/ Lean project experience desired.
* Demonstrated Team Leadership skills
* Experience in manufacturing process capability assessment and improvement.
* Competence in experimental design and data interpretation.
* Ability to independently plan, perform, analyze and document laboratory work.
* Ability to understand and utilize laboratory data collection applications
* Ability to prepare and fully understand data analysis reports and testing protocols.
* Experience in participating or leading cross-functional problem solving teams
* Competence in Microsoft Office applications, Minitab, and basic statistics.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and the Quality System Environment.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
