Search / Display, SQL, Excel, Business Analyst

Job Description:
Our client is an internationally recognized company looking for a Business Analyst to develop a scalable, automated and efficient rhythm of the business.

The Business Analyst will contribute to growing a $5B advertising business through insightful analysis, reporting and forecasting. S/He will primarily analyze data to deliver an accurate view of key performance metrics for the organization to measure success and drive decision-making. We are looking for self-starters who can work in a rapidly changing industry, tolerate ambiguity and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. Core Responsibilities

• Combine data from many sources to tell a cohesive story about the client's advertising business
  
• Build and maintain actionable scorecards used to monitor the business
  
• Produce reporting utilized by over 200 employees to check the status of their revenue versus target, directly related to their incentive compensation plan
  
• Partner with incentive compensation to ensure quarterly payouts are aligned with reporting
  
• Collaborate with business partners to automate the collection and delivery of data using SQL queries
  
• Reconcile data with reporting from other teams to create a consistent and reliable reality of revenue, collaborating with other business analysts as needed
  
• Generate and clearly communicate insights to increase business performance
  
• Compile scorecards, graphs and data for monthly business reviews
  
• Build out process to efficiently manage Operational Expenses, empowering managers with budgets and tracking
  
• Design automation and a workflow allowing leadership, management, and others to easily access data when needed
  
• Produce ad-hoc reporting as needed

• Minimum of 3 years experience in business/financial analysis, preferably within the media, software or online industries -- advertising experience a plus
  
• Excellent Excel skills and Excel Services experience required
  
• Strong SQL/Database skills as well as experience with OLAP Cubes required
  
• VB/Programming experience required
  
• Skills in other desktop apps, including Word, PowerPoint, Project
  
• Knowledge of online advertising, both search and display
  
• Strong Analytical skills, especially related to financial and operational elements of a service business
  
• Strong technical skills coupled with an understanding of business goals and decision-making
  
• Effective presentation and communication skills
  
• Demonstrated track record of exceeding established goals on a consistent basis
  
• Strong attention to detail resulting in accurate and reliable data
  
• Detail oriented & thorough with ability to think big picture and understand the key trends and levers that drive a service business
  
• Passion for analytics and data's ability to enable teams to achieve their potential
  
• University/college degree or equivalent required
  
• Access proficiency a plus
  
• PPS experience a plus
