Diamond Detective Agency, Inc. is a national security officer’s service company based out of Chicago Heights, IL that has provided uniformed guards and related services to public and private sector organizations for 40 years.

We have immediate openings for part-time unarmed security officers to work in Salt Lake City and West Jordan,  UT area. Requirements include prior security experience, law enforcement or military experience preferred.  Utah State Guard License and a clear criminal background. Compensation starting @ $9.75 per hour.

Responsibilities Include:

·         Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows and gates

·         Answer alarms and investigate disturbances

·         Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises

·         Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences

·         Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

·         Must have the ability to communicate and de-escalate or otherwise re-direct negative behavior in a professional and courteous manner

·         Prior experience in crisis intervention and emergency management preferred

·         Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons

·         Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property

·         Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed

·         Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises

·         Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas

·         Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified location sand to provide personal protection

·         Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering

·         Monitor and adjust controls that regulate building systems, such as air conditional, furnace, or boiler

·         Perform additional tasks as outlined in site post orders

·         Must be able to occasionally lift approximately 40 lbs. (i.e. lift gates, physically inspect bags or packages

·         Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, conduct walking foot patrols that may include climbing stairs or carrying small packages for short distances

·         Maintain valid applicable security licenses

·         Any assignment delegated by the Operations Department

Requirements:

·         High School Diploma (or equivalent) with some college course work

·         Associates Degree preferred

·         Must have clear criminal background

·         Must be at least 21 years of age

·         Must have Utah State Guards License

·         Prior Security experience (at least 2 years) – Law Enforcement or Military experience preferred

·         First AID (i.e. CPR, AED, BFA) Certification

·         Tactical (OC Spray, Baton)
