Site Safety Officer

TechUSA has an immediate opening for a Site Safety Officer to support large infrastructure (heavy civil) construction projects in New York City.

Job Description

Selected individual will be responsible for implementing the safety program, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines, managing site operations, and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

·         Work with the construction manager and sub-contractors to increase safety awareness and improve safety practices.

·         Monitor the site frequently throughout the day to ensure compliance with the HSE requirements on site.

·         Coordinate and participate in bi-weekly safety meetings, and formal worksite inspections.

·         Assist in, and ensure proper procedure and timing in the investigation and reporting of incidents.

·         Compile statistical data and reports as required by the HSE Manager

Job Qualifications

• 5+ Years of heavy civil safety experience.
• OSHA 10 Hour / OSHA 30 Hour, OSHA 500 is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in a related field would be a plus.
