Self Service Publishing Support Specialist

Come work with the Amazon Kindle team as we change the way people provide and consume all kinds of content! Amazon's Self-Service Publishing Platform allows authors to submit their digital works for sale on Amazon.com. The Support Specialist will review titles submitted through our self service tool to help determine whether they meet Amazon's criteria for sale prior to making the title available for sale on Amazon. You will also have the opportunity to develop processes and procedures to improve the decision-making process.

 

The Support Specialist will

  • Understand the processes used to publish a title on Amazon's self-service platform
  • Work with the Content Ingestion and Operations team to identify and review new submissions
  • Gather data on titles submitted
  • Route questions to the appropriate groups within Amazon
  • Ensure the appropriate decision is reached on each title
  • Manage communication with the publisher
  • Be able to work cross-functionally to communicate problems, solutions and implementation plans

This position is a very high visibility role within a strategically important and growing business.

 

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in the book publishing industry
  • Comfortable handling a high volume of work on a daily basis
  • Knowledge of publishing issues including copyright
  • Diligent work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong personal integrity
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Expertise with MS Windows and MS Office tools, specifically MS Excel
  • Team player with demonstrated capability to work in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done
  • Bachelor's degree
