Senior AIX Engineer
About the Job
C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. is the second-largest food wholesaler and 12th largest private company in the nation. Founded in 1918, C&S provides distribution services to supermarkets, retail stores and military bases. 2008 was our best year in our 90 year history.
This position will provide all aspects of AIX SYSTEM hardware and software support to meet the business requirements for C&S Wholesale Grocers, its subsidiaries, and its customers. Current environment is 150 Physical and over 200 AIX logical servers (virtual)
Qualified candidates must have:
• BS or BA degree in computer related discipline, or equivalent related experience.
• 6-8 years experience in Unix (AIX) Systems administration. Some past or current Linux experience is highly desired along with AIX.
• IBM Power Series certifications.
• Shell scripting (Korn, Borne), MS office, MS Project, MS Visio, Technology configuration tools.
•IBM AIX operating SYSTEM and pSeries hardware, I/P Network concepts, HMC management, Storage, Virtualization technologies, PowerHa, HACMP, GPFS and NIM concepts.
