POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the origination of new business customers andexpanding the telecommunications product mix withexisting customers. Present communication service opportunities,provide proposals for products and services, and originate new business orders. Integra Telecom is seeking candidates with a drive to succeed and ahunger to win in a B2B environment. This is a true hunter role in whichyou will generate your own leads and close new business. Candidates mustbe comfortable with cold-calling, prospecting, and door knocking.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Solicit andacquire business customers through various sourcing efforts; developterritory or business base to maximize new customers and/or expand product mixoffered to existing customers.
- Maintain positive clientrelations with existing customers through continuous contact; evaluate on-goingtelecommunications needs.
- Respond to RFP’s andother information requests in an effort to secure a sale.
- Follow-up on currentaccounts that are in the pipeline to ensure a closed sale.
- Ensure proper proposals,engineering and validation to ensure a well-organized implementationprocess.
- Meet or exceed monthlysales quota.
- Deliver monthly salesforecasts and reports as requested.
- Provide feedback tomanagement regarding offering desirable products to the marketplace.
- Keep abreast of changingtrends and product developments within the telecommunications industry.
- Perform other relatedduties or projects, as assigned.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated experience in professional sales and marketing, specifically selling technical services, indicating an ability to prospect new accounts and manage existing accounts. The ideal candidate should have successful outside sales experience selling to small & medium sized clients in a given territory. Ability to make sales presentations to small and large sized groups. Strong analytical, time management, problem solving, prioritization and planning skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills, including spreadsheets, presentation and word processing programs.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Sales experience within the telecommunications industry. Demonstrated knowledge of local exchange, long distance and internet markets. Experience using Microsoft Office software programs. Bachelors degree in Business or Finance or a related field, or the equivalent in training and experience.
