Senior Accountant - Fixed Assets

Accretive Solutions is a national professional services firm that provides executive search services in the areas of accounting and finance, internal audit, tax and technology.

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant - Fixed Assets for a rewarding organization that promises career growth and and very competitive salary & benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist supervisor and manager with advance knowledge of accounting theory and principles. Responsible for Fixed Assets area and month end close process related to fixed assets.  This position is a technical lead level of professional. This position acts as advisory to Fixed Assets team.  Performs financial tasks.

         A.       Analyze the accuracy of large volume of financial data.

         B.      Compile data and prepare monthly journal vouchers for the generation of accurate financial statements.

         C.      Present variance analysis reports on actual versus budget cost for mid-level and senior leadership.

         D.      Ensure capital assets area complies to policies and procedures (GAAP).

         E.      Develops non-standard reports and statements.

  • Lead on physical inventories of fixed assets. Coordinate audits with external agencies in regards to fixed assets.
  • Lead accountant to coordinate Capital assets mega controls for SOX compliance.
  • Provides work direction to other staff in Fixed Assets and act as a mentor in training of permanent and temporary staff.
  • Lead role in maintaining construction ledger CPS (capital project system).
  • Lead role in maintaining subsidiary ledger-Fixed Assets System.

EDUCATION:

Four year degree in accounting or business. Masters a plus. CPA a plus

EXPERIENCE:

Ø       Minimum of 5+ years experience in accounting, financial analysis in a managed care environment preferable.   

Ø       Project management experience includes ability to participate or lead large financial projects and take ownership of processes when required.

Ø       Technical Lead level of professional. Must have thorough knowledge of FAS system, and can modify or develop new reports to meet specialized needs.

Ø       Must be proficient with advanced spreadsheet functions and applications. Ability to write queries within the FAS system database report writer is a must.   

Ø       Ability to communicate effectively with managers, supervisors and employees from multiple departments.

      Strong presentations skills in order too effectively explain financial results to meet customer needs.
