SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Atlanta based company has an excellent opportunity for Senior Accountant who will be responsible for:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

-          Manage month-end close

-          Prepare/review complex reconciliations

-          Financial statement preparation

-          Internal/external audit research, documentation and support

-          Document & implement accounting  policies & procedures

-          Prepare/review general ledger entries

-          Actual – vs. – budget variance analyses

-          Standard costing (variable costs, fixed costs and depreciation)

-          Bank reconciliations

-          Inventory and all related

-          Analysis of business operations to support and advise business performance improvements

-          Advise the business in the financial area of contracts

-          Billing, accounts receivable, contract review, revenue recognition

-          Payroll preparation, payroll tax payments, quarterly filings, etc.

-          Government, FAR, CAS, DCAA, cost report, costing audits, pricing models, labor, financial analysis pricing models, capital equipment

-          Software: Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, Hyperion, Essbase, Great Plains, MAS 90, PeopleSoft, Quick Books, Advanced Excel & Access

QUALIFICATIONS:

-          College graduate – BS/BA degree in Accounting

-          7+ years hands on experience

-          Experience working with DCAA and working knowledge of FAR, CAS

-          Strong understanding of standard costing, variances, P&L, price volume cost analysis, cost accounting

-          Ability to perform cash flow analysis, prepare and analyze functional and operational budgets

-          Strong numerical and analytical skills, together with a keen commercial aptitude a must

-          Good working knowledge of US GAAP

-          Strength with financial reporting and consolidation software, and frequent use of automated accounting systems

-          Strength with all Microsoft Office software; extensive use of Excel and Access

-          Strong communications skills to present and explain financial information to various levels of the organization

-          Excellent organizational, analytical and communications skills

-          Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
