Senior Accountant

Essential Job Functions
- Analyzes current accounting processes and procedures and makes recommendations for improvements, including standardization of accounting methods and procedures.
- Ensures financial statements are prepared in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Responsible for maintaining the standard chart of accounts.
- Part of a team that is responsible for month end close, including preparing journal entries for multiple entities, account reconciliation, preparing consolidated financial statements using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
- Responsible for helping drive transaction process improvements in AP, AR, and Payroll.
- Reporting liaison with Corporate Controlling, Tax, Treasury, and Insurance groups and fulfilling their reporting requirements.
- Part of a team that is responsible for meeting internal and and external audit requirements, compliance reporting, including government surveys and tax reporting (Sales & Use, Property Tax, Corporate Tax), and fixed asset management, including coordination of physical inventory in conjunction with local site control, maintenance of FAS database, monthly CIP reporting, and property tax reporting.
- Provide support and direction to internal customers and suppliers regarding improvement of their processes and their ability to provide accurate and timely inputs to transactional processing.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

CPA, CMA or MBA preferred but not required

5+ years combined experience in public accounting and industry experience in manufacturing

Knowledge of HFM and JDE or similar system a plus
