A multi billion dollar service organization is searching for a Senior Accountant. This opportunity will report to the Controller and located in Chicago.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial reports and make recommendations to senior management team
• Audit and verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting allocations
• Monitor financial control processes in accordance with established standards
• Alert management to any control discrepancies based off internal testing
• Generate and report the actual-to-budget variance analysis
• Partner with business management team to identify and resolve budget errors

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA highly desirable, minimum of 5 in an accounting role, working knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls understanding necessary, excellent Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel, with an ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff.
