Mather LifeWays, a not-for-profit organization in Evanston, is currently seeking a Senior Accountant, desiring to be an integral part of a financially strong, growing organization.  Mather LifeWays is the winner of the 2007 American Association of Homes and Services’ Excellence in Workplace Award and 2007 Health at Work Silver Award.  We enhance the lives of older adults by creating Ways to Age Well primarily through our senior living residences and community service programs.

Senior Accountant responsibilities will include:

• Perform month end close


• Experience with financial reporting and analysis


• Prepare balance sheet and P & L account analysis and reconciliations

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting


• CPA or MBA a plus


• Strong accounting background


• Advanced Excel skills


• General ledger software experience


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Great attention to detail and accuracy
