The Senior Accountant position is in the Centralized Accounting team within our Finance & Accounting department. This position partners with various business teams to maintain accurate financial records, close the books in a timely and efficient manner, and provide financial information to support decision making. Specific responsibilities may include analyzing revenues and expenses, including allocation accounts, generating schedules and reports for internal users and external auditors, filing various regulatory and licensing reports with outside agencies, preparing audited financial statements and related footnotes, calculating intercompany fees and related intercompany cash settlements, preparing and reconciling cash, balance sheet accounts, and investment schedules, and creating and reviewing accounting entries. Qualifications
- At least three years of general ledger accounting and financial reporting experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong analytical, technical, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team
- Professional attitude and demeanor and the ability to exercise good judgment
- Proficiency with Excel, Word
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- SAP knowledge is a plus
