$1 billion Schaumburg area manufacturer seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. |
Duties:
- Heavily involved with Government contracts including account coding and analysis of income and expenses for these various contracts
- Significant work on the monthly close process including profit/loss analysis, journal entries and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with all related GAAP policy as well as company policy in reporting financial statements.
- This role will review financial rules and procedures along with preparing management reports and statements.
- Ad hoc projects as assigned.
Experience
- Must have a 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance or 8-10 years of related experience or training; or and equivalent combination of both.
- Government contract accounting experience and significant experience with government cost accounting standards
